What do you do to ensure you have a good route when you make something yourself? Did you come across anything very challenging in terms of navigation or trail conditions? David: I have come to understand that the routes on maps are approximations, can be off by ¼ of a mile. So I search for the tread. Also, call Ranger ahead of leaving to insure trail is maintained, not burnt. Also, have become comfortable with offtrail adventures. And finally, Caltopo has a Map Builders overlay that is more up to date on routes. 19:58:10 From Hafidha Sofía | to Everyone: Thank you! 19:58:11 From Jeffrey Ricco & Jeremy Matheis to Everyone: How soon before trip did you do the cashes David: one day. 19:58:56 From Pamela Davies to Everyone: David: Really enjoyed your presentation and pictures/videos.
